Lindsay Lohan is a Sober Girl

We all remember Lindsays substance abuse issues during the mid-2000’s. Reports highlighted her excessive partying, erratic behavior, and missed work commitments, raising concerns among fans and the general public. Her struggles led to a public downward spiral, significantly affecting both her personal life and career.

Through the years, she battled not only substance dependencies but also alcohol abuse. The combination of these issues tarnished her public image, shifting the perception of her from a talented young actress to a troubled hot mess celebrity.

Determined to reclaim her life, Lindsay embraced rehab, counseling, and support groups. With the support of family and friends, she navigated the rocky road to recovery is now embracing a Sober Girl lifestyle.

Lindsay celebrates ten years of sobriety, a testament to her resilience and strength. Her story is a statement of hope, proving that with help, personal commitment, and a supportive network, it's possible to overcome even the darkest struggles.

We are excited to say that Lindsay is so back! Here are some of the ways she has improved her health to turn into the best Sober Girl version of herself.

1. Healthy Habits: Cooking

Lindsay prides herself on being a great cook, and has regularly told fans how much she loves to be in the kitchen. She previously revealed that her grandmother is Italian and often cooked things like pasta and rice balls when she was growing up, and both she and her father have picked up on some of her great cooking skills.

2. Diet and Nutrition: Lean Proteins

Lindsay loves to incorporate a range of lean proteins into her diet, including eggs, chicken, and salmon. She does, however, also eat ham every now and again, perhaps around five times a month as per the 'Blue Zone' way of living.

For those not familiar with it, a typical Blue Zone diet is about 95% vegetables, fruits, grains, and legumes. Those following a Blue Zone diet aren't totally vegan, but at the same time do not eat much meat, dairy, sugar, and processed food.

3. Self Care: Treating Herself

Nobody likes to be restricted when it comes to diet – or anything for that matter. The Freaky Friday actress confessed that she does love to treat herself with comfort food and dessert when the mood strikes, which obviously seems to be working given how healthy and happy she looks. According to LiLo herself, she is a huge fan of chicken pot pie and ice cream. Who isn't?!

4. Mental & Physical Wellbeing: Sobriety

Lindsay said adios to alcohol. “When I was younger, I was definitely going out too much and I was drinking too much.”

She has regularly poked fun at herself on television and in interviews, which shows that she is a good sport about it, and says she doesn't miss her alcohol binges. She previously said on Chelsea Lately, with a laugh: "I can't drink vodka. I wind up in rehab or jail."
